What do a movie star, an archaeologist, a French maid, a prime minister, a wealthy dowager, and an Italian count have in common? Half of them have fallen victim to a terrible crime. The others have fallen under suspicion. Leave the deductions to Hercule Poirot. If you’ve always heard of and wanted to read books written by Agatha Christie but you don’t know where to start. I highly recommend this book of Hercule Poirot short story mysteries. You’d be able to sample Agatha Christie’s work without making a commitment to a novel. Each story is good but I prefer her novels. I hope that isn’t confusing. The Short stories are more like samples in my opinion more for people who are just checking out Ms. Christie’s work.
